Like several similar buildings located on Boulevard
d'Europe, this building was the subject of a case regarding
a design flaw in the original acrylic exterior cladding
(stucco), which had caused water infiltration in certain
areas of the building envelope.
Following expert assessments, a comprehensive renovation
program was undertaken and completed in 2018. The work
included the complete replacement of the exterior cladding
with a steel cladding system (MAC Metal Architectural),
known for its durability and superior performance. The
components affected by water infiltration were also
repaired or replaced, including the complete renovation of
the balconies.
All corrective work planned for this project has been
carried out, completed, and approved. On September 24,
2018, the firm Laplante Rhéault Architectes et Associés
issued a certification confirming that the work was
completed in accordance with the scope of work.
The claims, proceedings, and actions undertaken in
connection with this matter are now concluded, and the
costs associated with the work have been fully covered and
settled.
To the seller's knowledge, no additional corrective work,
special assessments, or claims related to this matter are
currently pending or planned.
